In 2008 Bob helped create the Hurford Youth Fellowship Program at the National Endowment for Democracy, to build the leadership skills and harness the potential of young democracy activists from around the world. Bob loved to bake and cook and was a daily solver of the NY Times crossword puzzle. He was a kind soul with a quick wit, a hearty laugh and a zest for life who was adored by his family, friends and colleagues.  He will be missed. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Katarina Antens-Miller, with whom he raised Swedish Warmbloods on their farm in Colts Neck, New Jersey; his sons Jonathan (Lisa), Robert and Tor; his devoted cousin Alice Porter; and his grandchildren Jack, Abigail, Catharine, John Robert, Andrew, Carter and Ravianna.
