Obituary of Marion Dougherty

Marion Theresa Dougherty, 90, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13th, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Marion was born in Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania and moved to Manalapan, NJ 57 years ago.

After finishing her Master's Degree in Education, Marion worked as a teacher and reading specialist for various schools and as a tutor at Brookdale Community College. She was a congregant of the St. Thomas More Church. Marion enjoyed traveling the world, singing in the church choir, playing piano and raising her daughters and grandsons.

Marion was predeceased by her loving husband Conrad Dougherty, her three brothers John, Paul, Daniel and her sister Pauline. She is survived by her two daughters Patricia and Diane; brother Ernie (Kathryn) Baran and sister Esther Mondero. Marion was a kind and generous person with her time and love. She always had a smile and saw the beauty in life especially in the end. Family was her everything.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, April 16, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.
