Obituary of Robin Gallo
Robin Ann Gallo, 68, of Howell, passed away on Saturday April 8, 2023 at Riverview Medical Center. Robin was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, grew up in Highland Park and raised her family in Freehold. Robin was predeceased by her parents Nathan and Adeline Maslin, her sister Sheri Bertelsen, her cats Rebel and Lucy and her beloved husband, Rocco. She is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Gallo (Matt Carpenter), her son Matthew (Ashley) Gallo and her grandchildren, Andrew and Henry Carpenter and Molly Gallo. Recently retired, she relished her new role as a full-time grandma.
Robin had an unwavering devotion to the NY Giants and supported them through good times and bad. She also cheered for Rutgers Football (as she was a graduate of Douglass College) and had a newfound passion for watching the Mets and Yankees. She loved fashion (she hardly ever repeated an outfit), good food (especially anything grilled by her son, Matt) and live music and was quick to give recommendations for a new show to watch. A proud Jersey Girl, she enjoyed going down the shore and always sported a wonderful tan in the summertime. Anyone who knew Robin appreciated her sharp sense of humor, infectious laugh and her fierce loyalty. She was beautiful both inside and out with her bright blue eyes and inviting smile. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, April 13th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North Manalapan, NJ. A brief service will be held at Freeman Funeral Home at 6:00 PM on Thursday. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Basser Center for BRCA Research (https://www.basser.org/make-gift).
