Obituary of Rose Marie Mack

Rose Marie Mack (nee Allegretti), 96, of Morganville, passed away on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, at home, surrounded by her family. Rose was born in Yonkers, New York, and lived in Morganville since 1969. She worked as a school aide for the Marlboro Twp. Board of Education for over 10 years, and prior to that for Steinbach’s Department Store for over 15 years. Rose was a congregant of St. Thomas More Church. She was an accomplished artist and won several awards for her artwork. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

Rose was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Theresa Allegretti; her daughter Kathleen and her sister Peggy. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Frank; her children Victoria of Ocean Township, NJ, Maureen of Morganville, NJ, Karen and Bob Layton of Long Branch, NJ, Dina and Rob Kashtan of Maplewood, NJ, and Tim of Clayton, NC; her 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, March 30th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Mausoleum, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to The Clement House in Matawan, NJ.
