Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Musillo

Elizabeth Ann Musillo, 72, of Manalapan, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at home with her family. Born in Teaneck, she has resided in Manalapan for the past 41 years. Elizabeth attended Ferrum College in Virginia for two years and completed her teaching degree from Monmouth University. She began her teaching career at Holy Trinity School in Long Branch. She then taught first and second grades in Marlboro Township and first grade at St. Thomas the Apostle in Old Bridge. She returned to Marlboro where she taught kindergarten and first grade for a total of 25 years until her retirement in 2008. She touched the lives of many children as well as parents. Elizabeth dedicated her life to serving children. Her passion and dedication is to be admired and remembered. After retiring Elizabeth enjoyed taking care of her grandchild, Joseph. Throughout her life she demonstrated a love for animals. This love led her to volunteer at 4Paws Animal Hospital, Englishtown. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Anthony; her two daughters and son-in-law, Margaret and Charles Schaneman of Manalapan and Deborah Zambelli of North NJ; and two grandchildren, Joseph and Noelle Schaneman. Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro.
