Obituary of Charles J. Cipaldo

Charles J. Cipaldo, age 92, of Manalapan, NJ died peacefully at his home on Monday, March 6, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and family.  Charlie was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Manalapan 15 years ago.

Charlie and his wife, Marilyn, shared 67 loving years together.  Charlie enjoyed Atlantic City, playing bingo, dancing, and loved the New York Mets.  He was a shoemaker by trade, and was employed by Cardone & Baker who manufactured Andrew Geller shoes.  He later worked in the NY public school system in the cafeteria.  Charlie was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Army from 1952-1954. 

Charlie is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and his children, Vincent Cipaldo, Steven Cipaldo, his wife, Gloria, Terri Bruno, and her husband, Richard.  He was the proud and loving grandfather of Nicole, Richard, and Jamie Bruno, and Steven Cipaldo, Jr., his wife Elle, and his great grandson Miles Cipaldo.

The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 12th, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Homes, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ 07726, www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.  A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 13th at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan, NJ 07726.  Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
