Obituary of Scott Joseph Dille

Scott Joseph Dille, 57, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He fought a courageous battle against an aggressive form of melanoma.

Scott grew up in Waldwick, New Jersey. He attended Saint Leo's University in Florida. Scott was a loyal employee of United Rentals for more than 20 years.

Scott was a proud American. He was an active member of the Manalapan community, where he coached many youth sports teams. It was through sports that many beautiful friendships were formed. He enjoyed watching his sons, Justin and Alex, and others play baseball, basketball, football, track and field and wrestling. He especially enjoyed watching his son, Alex more recently, playing football for the Manalapan High School Braves. He was a loving, supportive and proud dad. 

Scott was predeceased by his parents Walter and Patricia Dille. He was a devoted and loving father to his sons Justin and Alex Dille of Manalapan, NJ; Scott is also survived by his girlfriend Linda De Gregorio and her sons. Francesco, Antonio, Vito and Matteo Gentile of Manalapan; brother Joseph Dille and his wife Lisa of Ranson WV; cousin Kim Healy and her husband Doug of Lincoln Park, NJ; and cousin James Lee and his wife Pacita of the Philippines; nephews Michael and Christopher Healy; and niece Patricia Dille.

He was loved by so many great friends and will be deeply missed.                            .

Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, February 22, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00 AM. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice, in Scott’s name.
