Obituary of James Lawlor
James (Jim) Lawlor, 92, passed away on February 14, 2023, to reunite with his wife Eileen. They were married for 62 years. Jim was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He moved to Mine Hill, NJ after serving in the Navy for four years during the Korean War. Jim was an engineer for AT&T Bell Labs for 40 Years, working on underwater research, and the Business Communications Divisions at Whippany, Holmdel and Middletown locations. He also worked at Cisco in 2000. He was a member of St. Gabriel’s Church in Marlboro, NJ and a member of the Manalapan Senior Citizen Chapter 1 Club.
James was predeceased by his wife Eileen and sisters Claire Jones and Marie Pynn. He is survived by his children James (wife Robin), Patricia Ryan (husband Joe), Joseph, and Stephen (wife Bernice). He is also survived by his grandson James (wife Cecilia), and great granddaughter Kaylee and many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister, Sr. Eileen Lawlor.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, February 18th, from 9:30am to 10:30am, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Gabriel's Historic Church on Saturday, February 18th at 11:00am. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery and Mausoleum.
