Obituary of Joseph Michael Jichetti

Joseph Michael Jichetti, 68, of San Diego, California, passed away on Monday, January 9th, 2023.  Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York, and resided in San Diego for the past 30 years. Joseph will be remembered for his love of family; his faith in God; his knowledge and wisdom; his incredible memory; and mentor to many close to him especially his brother Vincent. Joseph was caring, had the keen ability to focus on the moment, always giving you his undivided attention which contributed to his ability to help both family and friends.  He had a passion for saltwater fishing, was dedicated to his career as an electrical engineer, enjoyed working for General Atomics, and was an avid college basketball fan especially for his alma mater St. John’s University.  Although Joseph will be dearly missed, it is comforting to know the Lord has a special place reserved for him. 

Joseph is survived by his brother Vincent, his nephew Anthony and niece Danielle, and the many cousins who dearly loved him.

A small private service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, February 4th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.  A service will be held during the visistion.  To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com
