Peggy was one of the very first friends I made at BSHS in 1960. I was a stranger in a strange land, coming from the tiny Malvern parish. Peggy made you feel instantly welcome, like you'd been a friend forever. Always a smile. Always a kind word. This chubby girl from Malvern didn't feel like a country bumpkin in her presence. Over recent years we reconnected at class reunions and it was as if time stood still. We chatted on phone calls reminiscing about our insecurities back in the day and our humorous interactions in the hallowed halls of Shanahan. She was a great friend to the group she "hang out" with; wherever Peggy went, laughter followed. She adored her children/grandkids. She was adored by MeMe and oh how broken he must feel right about now. I send my heartfelt love to Louise because I, too, am a little sister (my big sister is 87) -- there is no more special bond on this earth than the love between sisters. God bless you all at this time, and especially in the days to come as the holidays approach. Talk to her. Set a place for her at the table. Peggy's only a heartbeat away. May her faith and love surround you all of your days. God be with you.
