Obituary of Steven Jay Levine

Steven Jay Levine, 71, of Manalapan, NJ passed away surrounded by his beloved family, on Sunday October 16, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.  Steven was born on December 16, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Milton and Beatrice (Ziaman) Levine. He grew up in Brooklyn, developing a love for the NY Dodgers and Yankees and making life-long friends before residing in NJ.

Steven is survived by his devoted wife of 13 years, Rosemary; daughter Danielle and husband Michael, daughter Stefanie and husband Andrew, and daughter Ashlei and husband Adam.  Steven proudly walked his daughters down the aisle at each of their weddings and was present to welcome each of his surviving grandchildren, Victoria, Giuliana, and Maddox.

Beginning in 1972, Steven was a practicing accountant and CPA, serving some clients for over 40 years.  In 1986 he started a successful accounting firm, Lederer Levine and Associates, LLC. with life-long friend and business partner, Kenneth Lederer.  Even after retirement clients continued to call on Steve—a true testament of his trusted care, skill, and devotion to those he served.  Steve was also an avid golfer and world traveler, and shared this love with his wife and numerous friends. Even while battling cancer and undergoing treatments, Steve could still be found with a smile on his face out on a golf course with friends and neighbors.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, October 19^th from 2:00-6:00pm at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 5:00pm.
