Obituary of Charles Michael Szarawarski

Charles “Chas” Michael Szarawarski, 42, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Charles was born in Freehold and raised in Manalapan. He could often be found on his beloved boat “Controlled Chaos” with his two sons and his wife. He enjoyed fishing, going to his Cabin in Canada, and spending time with his family, friends and beloved dogs. He was a BBQ grill master who loved cooking and sharing meals at gatherings. Chas was a member of the Freemasons. He owned his own construction business for more than 20 years. He had a jolly disposition with an infectious laugh.

Charles was predeceased by his father, Michael Szarawarski. He is survived by his mother Carollee Moorefield; his wife Gina Szarawarski; his two sons Dillon and Carter Szarawarski and his brother Nicholas Szarawarski.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, October 13, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street. A funeral service will be held at Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Manalapan on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
