Obituary of Robert John Paton

Robert “Bob” Paton, 80, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Hackensack Meridian Old Bridge Medical Center. Robert was born in Newark, New Jersey and spent most of his adult life in Freehold Township before settling in Marlboro.  Robert was a dedicated member of the Pathmark Corporation for 40-plus years, beginning his career as a stockboy and retiring as the Senior Vice President in 1998.

 

Bob is survived by his wife Janet (D’Amore); son Kenny; daughters Jackie, Karen and her husband Jeff, Lisa and her husband Brian; sisters Carol, Linda and her husband Richie; grandchildren Tiffany, Kayla, Frankie, Jack, Ryan, Christian and Paton; and great grandchildren Leilani and Kaiyan. Robert was predeceased by his brothers Kenny and Richard “Dicky”.

 

Bob was most happy catching a Yankee games, enjoying dinner with his family, napping on the couch with his shoes on, his years of dedication to St. Gabriel’s and being a man of service for his friends of Bill W.

 

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, October 9, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Gabriel's MAIN Church on Monday, October 10 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Mausoleum.
