Obituary of Martin Goldberg
Martin Goldberg (Marty), 95, born in Brooklyn, NYC and most recently residing in Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on August 13, 2022 at the Wedgewood Rehabilitation Center in Freehold, NJ.
Marty was a kind, thoughtful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theatre at the end of the war.
Marty was a highly respected licensed pharmacist until his retirement, and owned independent pharmacies in NYC for over 40 years, most notably Clyde Chemists on the upper east side of Manhattan.
Marty was a passionate and knowledgeable lover of classical music. He enjoyed fishing, playing chess, poker and bridge, but more than anything he loved to be with his family, who loved him dearly.
Marty was predeceased by his first wife Marilyn and his son Howard. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Janet, children Steven, Robert and Barbara and their spouses Carmen, Terri and William, and numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marty will be interred on August 19, 2022 at 1pm at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ.
