Obituary of Jean M Scalero

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jean Marie Scalero, 79, of Little Egg Harbor sadly passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022. Jean was born and raised on Staten Island. Jean graduated from Curtis High School, then went on to lovingly raise her three children before beginning her career with Chase Bank for 16 years, earning numerous sales excellence awards. With Jean’s love of people and vacationing, she took on a retirement career working with American Discount Cruises, which she loved all of her clients, allowing her to make their vacations extra special.

Jean was a social butterfly and had a knack for turning strangers into friends and was so blessed with so many that considered her a loving and sincere confidant. Jean also volunteered for numerous years at the Paris of St. Theresa.  She loved to travel with her family and friends on cruises and visiting Atlantic City.  Above all, Jean’s family was most important to her. Jean will be missed dearly by all.

Jean is predeceased by her parents Marie and Warren Armstrong. She is survived by her sisters Joan Nole and Barbara (George) Duffy; sons John Scalero, and Dan Scalero; daughter Tammy Cirlincione (Jerome); and grandchildren Daniella, Nicholas, Alexandra, Gina and Ryan who were the apple of her eye. Jean was also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 10:30am at St. Thomas More Church, 186 Gordon’s Corner Road Manalapan NJ 07726. A celebration of life will follow at Jasper Stone restaurant 399 Spotswood Englishtown Rd. Monroe Twp. NJ 08831. This service will be a mass to recognize Jean’s faith in the lord and celebration of her life. To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com
