Mrs. Emily Criscione (nee Catani) of Freehold, New Jersey passed from this earth on July 25, 2022 one day shy of her 92nd birthday. Mrs. Criscione was born and raised in North Bergen, New Jersey. She resided in Manalapan Township for 39 years before moving to Freehold. A graduate of Union Hill High School, Union City, NJ, Mrs. Criscione attended cosmetology school and Jersey City State College. Before retiring she was a cosmetology teacher at the Middlesex County Vocational Technical High School and a member of the NJ State Board of Examiners.

She was predeceased by her husband John I. Criscione; and her siblings Amerigo Catani (Angelina), Irma Wagner (Arthur), Ida Genoni (Frank), and Doris Catani.

Mrs. Criscione is survived by her children Ms. Leslie O’Keefe of Clifton, Mr. William O’Keefe (Barbara) of Whiting, and Mr. Dennis O’Keefe (Rose) of Rutherford; her brother Mr. Mario J. Catani of Tennessee, and sister in law Mrs. Nellie Casari of Jamesburg; her nine grandchildren William O’Keefe (Shauna), Brenda Eisenhardt (Craig), Christian Conlon (Kelly), Elizabeth Verola (Justin), Michael Conlon (Jillian), Patrick O’Keefe (Stefanie), Gia Tyler-O’Keefe (Telicia), Brandon Caroprese (Jacqueline), and Brittany Kenny (Ryan); her nineteen great-grandchildren Thomas, William, and Brielle O’Keefe; Madeline, Jack, and Luke Eisenhardt; Ryan and Abigail Conlon; Justin, Emma, and John Verola; Aubrey and Ethan Conlon; Sofia and Jack O’Keefe; Giavanna and Gianluca Caroprese; Mia and Aidan Kenny; and many caring nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes no services will be held.
