Obituary of Robert E Hill
We are overwhelmed with sadness to share that Robert E. Hill “Bob”, 77, of Marlboro, NJ passed away, at home in his sleep, in the early hours of June 29th, 2022.
He was an incredibly dedicated and loving Husband, Father and Brother, a proud Grandfather, and a loyal soldier of the US Army.
Bob was a hard-working family man, with a love of the outdoors. He lived a full life that he was proud of. Serving in the Vietnam war as a young man and receiving a Bronze Star for his heroic service, owning and operating an architectural metals business, raising his two girls alongside the love of his life, and after retiring, spending some time in management at First Student Bus Company.
Bob was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Anyone who knew him, loved him. With his big heart, his witty humor, and his charm, it was hard not to.
Bob is survived in spirit by his wife of almost 54 years, Kathy Hill, his two daughters Kelly Hill and Robyn Dionne, and his grandchildren Donovan and Zach Martire and Josslyn and Annalyse Dionne.
A viewing will be held at Freeman Funeral Home in Freehold on Tuesday, July 5th from 4pm – 7pm with a service being held between the 6pm-7pm hour.
A second viewing will be held Wednesday, July 6th from 9am-10am at Freeman Funeral Home.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with close family members held directly after the second viewing.
We invite you to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/) in his honor in place of sending flowers.
