Obituary of Cherie Madonna

Cherie Madonna of Freehold, NJ passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022. Cherie was born in Texas but lived in Staten Island, NY her entire life before moving to New Jersey 12 years ago. Cherie was an Early Childhood Teacher at PS 22 in Staten Island, NY before retiring in 2004. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family and friends. In her later years, she loved watching The Hallmark Channel. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who put her family above all else. She will be greatly missed.

Cherie was predeceased by her husband Aniello (Neil) Madonna of 55 years. She is survived by her sons, Michael and his wife Andrea, Marc and his wife Deborah and her daughter, Tonia Simone and her husband Michael, her sister in law and brother in law, Sue and Eddie Fanelli as well as her 6 beloved grandchildren; Michael, Jacqueline, Nicole, Matthew, Olivia and Peter.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday June 23, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home 344 Rt. 9 North, Manalapan. The Funeral liturgy will be held on Friday June 24, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, old Bridge.
