Capitolina Amorin, 98 of Freehold Township passed away peacefully at Wedgewood Gardens Nursing Home from a long illness. She was born in the Belem District of Lisbon Portugal on January 3, 1924 to Antonio and Helena Freixes. She was married to Joao Lobo de Amorin for 63 years until his passing in 2007. They had no children.

Capitolina immigrated with her husband to the United States in 1974 and had lived in the Freehold Township area for 48 years.  She was predeceased by both her parents; Antonio and Helena Freixes, her loving husband; Joao Lobo de Amorin, her brother; Antonio Fernandes Freixes, her sister; Graciosa Fernandes Freixes, her niece; Maria Belmira Ricardo and her husband; Jose Ricardo, and her great nephew; John Manual Ricardo.

She is survived by her loving great-nephew; Alex Ricardo of Nutley, NJ.

There will be a Catholic graveside service at Forest Green Cemetery on Texas Road in Morganville, NJ on Monday February 28 at 9:30AM.
