Obituary of Edward John Pajor Sr

Edward J. Pajor, Sr., 89, of Freehold Township, died on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at home. Born in Portage, PA, he lived in New Brunswick and graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1951, and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1952. He was an Air Policeman stationed at Sampson AFB, NY, Kadena AFB, Okinawa and MacDill Air Field, Tampa, FL. In 1956 he transferred to and remained in the active reserves for 36 years, retiring a Senior Master Sergeant, E-8, in 1992. He joined the Freehold VFW Post 4374 in 1985 becoming a life member and serving as Post Commander from 1986–1989. Subsequently, he served as Senior Vice Commander, District 6 Commander, VFW Department Level State Security, Assistant Sergeant at Arms and Assistant Chief of Staff. He served on the National Security Committee, National Aid to Camp, National Youth Development Scholarship Recognition Committee, National Community Service Committee, Finance and Internal Organization Committee, National Veterans Unemployment and Training and National Legislation Conference Committee. After retiring from the Air Force, Ed was a Supervisor at McGraw Hill Publishing in Hightstown for many years before retiring in 1996. He and his wife, Lorraine, have lived in Freehold Township since 1960 and raised five wonderful children, Edward Jr., Lorraine O'Rourke, Loretta McIntyre, and Mark and Brian Pajor; and grandchildren Nicholas Rudenjak, Amanda McIntyre, Robert Pajor and Stephanie O'Rourke.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St., Freehold, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, February 25, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Saint Rose of Lima R.C Church in Freehold. Interment will be on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
