My family was lucky to have Uncle Henry living close by in NYC during the 1960s. We got to see him more, probably, than any other relative. He was a good uncle and a great friend to the Succolosky brothers. He was famous for his photography and aways willing to pass along tips to a budding photography hobbyist (me). He was always the smartest and, certainly, the funniest guy in the room! He was a true wordsmith when writing about his experiences or family members. And he was always planning his next project or innovation He will be remembered for his kindness, compassion and humor and will be very much missed.

Uncle Henry and I grew up together once the family moved to New York. He was like a big brother. We remained close through weddings, raising kids, visits to New York City, New Jersey and Colorado. The highlight of our lives was when he joined us in Poland in 2003 - First generation Dad and Henry. Me, Richard, Christine and Martha from the second generation, and Aion and Evan from the third. For five days we visited relatives, listened to Dad and Henry conversing in Polish, toured the area around Krakow and Zakopane, ate amazing food, and drank many a Na Zdrowie toast! It was an experience none of us will ever forget. Now Henry is in heaven with his parents and siblings who beat him there! And those left behind will sorely miss him.

My Uncle Henry was the keeper of so many Gall family stories. I'm so grateful he wrote them down and shared many of them with me and other family through the years. His sense of humor, his love of all things Polish, and his deep love for his family will be missed, but will live on in the great memories we all have of our dear uncle.

Please accept our deepest sympathies. Henry was a wonderful, one of a kind person. No words can express how much "Big H" meant to us. We’ll always have great memories of him that we will treasure. He will be missed dearly. You’re in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.
