Obituary of Gloria Saker

Gloria Saker left us peacefully on Wednesday, January 12th, at the age of 90.  And while the family is deeply saddened, they are comforted in knowing she lived a full and abundant life.  She will be forever treasured and leaves a beautiful family legacy behind.

 

Gloria was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2012. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Richard and Laura, Nadine and Andrew Mockler, Denise Saker, Lisa Saker, Joseph and Sheri, Thomas and Kristen and 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

 

She was known to all as a loving mother and homemaker who dedicated countless hours to her children’s schools and their local PTA organizations. Gloria had a deep connection to her faith. As a lifelong parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Freehold, NJ and devoted member of Catholic Daughters of America, she joyfully lived out the faith she cherished.

 

The Saker family sincerely appreciates the love and support that so many people have expressed.  However, given the current COVID health concerns, services will remain private for immediate family only.  

 

If conditions permit, a memorial service may be held in Gloria’s honor in the future. We will be sure to let all who knew and loved her know about any future service.
