Obituary of Paul Robert Mazza
Our hearts have been forever broken at the sudden and tragic loss of our cherished Husband and Father, our beloved Paul Robert Mazza. Paul was 57 years old, taken from our lives on January 9, 2022, Paul is survived by his wife Aileen Mazza and their three sons, Paulie, Matthew, and Joseph Mazza. Paul is survived by his parents, Father, Paul G. Mazza, and Mother, Jean Mazza. Brother to Christine Feeney and Brother-in-law to Thomas Feeney and uncle to Thomas, Jaclyn, and Ryan Feeney. Cherished Son-in-Law of Olga Viera and Brother-in-law to Margarita and Albert Germoso.
Paul graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School, Staten Island, NY, and St. John's University, Staten Island, earning his Master’s degree in Finance and Business Administration. Employed as a Graded Vice President with Broadridge Financial Solutions for the last 20+ years, Paul achieved many of his professional goals, imparting his technical knowledge and expertise of the Financial Industry to his colleagues and clientele alike.
An avid musician, Paul played the acoustic and bass guitars daily, and gathered regularly with life-long fellow musicians & friends holding regular jam sessions; Paul was also an amateur songwriter. A lifelong ice hockey player, golfer, and fisherman, Paul enjoyed all sports and many hobbies.
As a Father, Paul coached his three sons in numerous sports, including soccer, ice hockey, roller hockey, and baseball. Paul fostered the love of ice hockey within his township of Manalapan, NJ providing instructional recreational clinics at the roller level and transitioning youth athletes into the ice hockey arena. Paul coached baseball and hockey at various age levels. Paul relished any opportunity to watch his sons play and excel in their numerous sports, embracing his son Matthew as an Offensive Lineman on the Football field, Paulie as an ice hockey goalie, and Joseph as a pitcher in baseball.
Throughout 27 years of marriage, Paul and Aileen have raised 3 children and shared a life filled with many joyful experiences. He’ll always be remembered for his constant smile, eternal optimism, honesty, sincerity, and most of all his love of family.
A true gentleman, Paul will be remembered and cherished by all.
Friends and family are invited for a memorial gathering on Saturday, January 15th, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.
