Obituary of Giovanni Grillo

Giovanni Grillo 87, of Freehold Township passed away December 30, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. Giovanni was born in Ferrandina, Matera Italy on December 12, 1934 and has resided in Freehold for the past 41 years before previously residing in Brooklyn for 24 years. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Giovanni was one of the founders of Ideal Tile Co.

Giovanni is predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Vita Maria Grillo; sister Maria and brother Francesco. He is survived by his wife Camilla; daughter Vita (John); siblings Mario (Carol), Nicola (Rosa), Felicetta, widower Titina and granddaughter Elizabeth. Giovanni also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Joseph, Vita Maria, Mariana, Giuseppe and Giuseppe & Fedele in Italy.

Friends and family are invited to gather at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main Street, Freehold on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. There will be a funeral liturgy on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.

Entombment will be at a later date in Ferrandina, Matera, Italy.
