Obituary of Edward Wrubel
Edward Wrubel, 94, of Howell, passed away on Sunday, December 19th, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Newark, New Jersey and he lived in Union before moving to Freehold and then Howell. Edward was a graduate of Rutgers University and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946 and was a proud veteran for World War II. Edward was a supervisor of Internal Auditing for AT&T Technologies (Western Electric) for 34 years before retiring in 1985. Ed enjoyed spending time with family, travel, reading and handywork.
Edward was predeceased by his wife Doris; son Walter; and sisters Stella and Jeanette . He is survived by his daughter Maureen and her husband Thomas; daughter Kathleen; daughter Eileen and her husband Dale; grandchildren Danielle, Sarah, Christopher, Jessica and Alison; and great grandchildren Mackenzie and Mikayla.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, January 9th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at funeral home Monday, January 10th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside.
