Obituary of John LaCugna
John LaCugna, 63, of Manalapan, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he resided in Manalapan for 27 years. After retiring from his job as a window cleaner in New York City, John was a school bus driver for Manalapan-Englishtown. He lived his life one day at a time enjoying the simple things. John was a devoted and proud husband, father and grandfather always putting his family first. John loved spending time with his wife of 39 years taking weekend trips to different places. His best times were spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and always loved having people around him. Those who know John, love him. He had a smile that lit up any room and a laugh that brought so much joy to everyone. John lived his life to help others.
John is survived by his wife Karen; daughter Melissa and partner Damien; son John and daughter-in-law Sandra; daughter Danielle and son-in-law Justin; brother James and sister-in-law Debbie; brother Joseph and sister-in-law Linda; grandchildren Adriana and Vincent; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, November 16th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and Wednesday November 17th from 10am to 12pm at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 17th at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum, Marlboro.
