Obituary of Nicholas Tumminia

Nicholas “Poppy” Tumminia Jr. of Manchester Twp., passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, N.J.  Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he was known as “Mr. T”, he has resided in Manchester for 17 years. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and husband who enjoyed family and playing softball for the Renaissance Knights.

 

Nicholas was predeceased by his parents Nicolo and Elvira Tumminia, his sister Diane Cardile and his brother Philip; He is survived by his loving wife  of 63 years Inez; children Nicholas, Daniel (Kieva) and Gregory (Christine): sister Kathy Proscia: brother Paulie.; Grandchildren Brittany, Kristie, Gabrielle, Daniel Victoria, Nicholas, Leah, Jack and Allie.
 

Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, August 17th, 2:00pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan N.J. 

 

A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan    N.J. on Wednesday August 18th at 10am.   

Entombment to follow at Woodbridge Memorial Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.

 

In Lieu of flowers the family asks to make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in his name.
