Obituary of Dominick Aloysius Digravina
Dominick Aloysius Digravina, 85, of Manalapan, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at home. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Staten Island until he moved to Manalapan 34 years ago. Dominick was a butcher and meat manager at Shelley Foods in Bayonne and then worked for Foodtown in multiple locations. He enjoyed watching sports, his favorite baseball team The Mets and football team The Giants. Dominick was a member of Christian Neighbors and the Manalapan Senior Center and partook in meetings, bingo and trips to Atlantic City. He looked forward to the ShopRite ad every week and enjoyed grocery shopping. But his biggest love was his family whom he was totally dedicated to and anyone who knew him would agree he was an extremely selfless easy going man.
Dominick was predeceased by his wife Theresa of 48 years in 2010 and by his brothers Joseph and Michael . He is survived by his brother Nick and wife Liz; Daughter Diane, grandson Matthew Schirripa and wife Emma and granddaughter Vivian Schiff and husband Jeremy.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, July 7th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday July 8th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm & 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown on Friday, July 9th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery & Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
