Dear Judy and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Larry's passing, but I will remember the happier days playing bridge (which is how we met, while learning to play), visiting art museums in Philly, and that time at the Philadelphia Flower Show where I captured this moment of Larry having an up-close-and-personal moment with a butterfly. We will miss him.

Many knew him as Lawrence or Larry, but growing up on University Avenue in the Bronx he was my pal, Mickey. We are about one week apart in age and attended Holy Spirit grammar school taught by the Dominican sisters. We played punch ball in the vacant lot between 1815 and 1821; we played stoop ball in the courtyard between 1805 and 1815; we sledded down the slope on the ack (aqueduct bearing water from up state to the Bronx); we took long walks around our neighborhood and as far as Fordham Road and the Grand Concourse; we enjoyed egg creams at Mr Kramer’s newsstand and candy store in 1801. Mic was a close and dear friend. His family was warm and gracious; on Friday nights we commandeered their kitchen table for playing Monopoly, Poker and Clue as we matured. The players included Alex Rodetis, Charlie Alleles, Kevin Hurley, Al Frank, Mickey and myself (Sean Moore). Mic’s mom made sure there was soda and snacks for this hungry mob. We started in other directions in college and separated geographically. I recall meeting the first ladies for Mic and for Alex and knowing right off the bat that they had chosen unique, fitting and loving spouses. In later years we got together when one or the other of us was travelling near Mic and Judy’s, and we all talked about how lucky we were to share the blessings and love we had growing up together in the Bronx. I trust that we will continue that conversation when we meet again in Heaven. I am sad for your loss Judy, but happy that Mickey has risen to a better place. With all my love, an old buddy, Sean Moore.
