Obituary of Stefano Rago

Stefano Rago, 81, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at home. Born in Mola Di Bari, Italy, he resided in Monroe for 11 years. Stefano was employed as a Building Engineer for Vornand in New York for 42 years before retiring.  

Stefano is predeceased by his brother Vito and his wife Maria, sister Rosa and her husband Paolo and sister in-law Domenica.  He is survived by his wife Pasqua; son Angelo and his wife Barbara; son Lenny and his wife Nicole; daughter Adriana and her husband Peter; brothers VitoAntonio and his wife Rosa; Giuliano and his wife Dianne; Vincenzo and his wife Carmela and Franco; grandchildren Steven, Jake, Jessica, Ryan, Brandon, and Avery.

Stefano touched the lives of many. He was loved and admired by everyone who met him. He was known for his gentle manner, bright smile and even brighter eyes. He was a doting husband, a caring father, a playful grandfather and skilled gardener. A hard worker who wanted nothing more than to provide for his family. He truly was one in a million and will be greatly missed.                                     .

Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 9^th and Thursday June 10^th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm & 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.  A funeral liturgy will be held at Nativity of Our Lord, Monroe on Friday, June 11^th at 10:00am.
