Obituary of Joseph John Parrinello

Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Wednesday, May 25, 2021 Joseph John Parrinello, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 63.

Joseph was born on November 9, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to Giovanni and Frances Parrinello. He studied at Baruch College and received his Master’s Degree in Finance from Long Island University in 1987. On September 27, 1996 he married Lisa Ann Cirri. They raised two beautiful daughters, Samantha and Brianna.

Friends and Family called him Joey. Joey loved spending hours on the beach, and really any pretty view of scenery or trees. He would sit in his backyard and just take in the view for hours at a time. He loved blasting his favorite song of the week on repeat, but Andrea Bocelli was always in rotation and top of the list. Joey was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. He loved being around his family and his friends and would always say “how is the day over already, that went fast.” He was honest to the core, silly, and so full of life. He was caring and thoughtful and if you needed him he would be there for you. He had lots of nicknames over the years because he was one of a kind - Director Joe, Joey Four Cents and Joey Napkins to name a few. He loved Sundays with his family just cooking, or hanging on the couch. When he wasn’t cooking, Bacon Cheeseburgers were his favorite. “Capesh” and “That’s the Story” were his go to lines. He loved wearing yellow and orange and bright colors, and “swishy” pants were his trademark. Funny Facebook posts, comments and texting GIFs on GIFS were a regular for him, he would get a kick out of himself.  He had so much energy and never took anything for granted. He was thankful for everyday. He was the most nurturing person who always put everyone before himself. He was the absolute best, really the greatest man of all time who will be truly and dearly missed.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Giovanni, and his mother, Frances. He is survived by his wife Lisa, his two daughters Samantha and Brianna, his Son-In-Law Ian, his future granddaughter, his sister Connie, and several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, May 28th , from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral liturgy will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, Matawan on Saturday, May 29th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at The Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
