Obituary of Catherine Georgina Sarafin
Catherine Georgina Sarafin, 93, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at home. Catherine was born in Tuckahoe, New York and resided in Manalapan for 54 years.
Catherine was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. This is why she was loved and cherished by many who knew her. Her children will remember her as the most loving and caring mother a child could have.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband Stanley Sarafin; siblings Thomas, Jonte and Richard Westray. She is survived by her children Kathleen Hetherington and her husband Dave; Mary Schmidlin and her husband Eric; John Sarafin and his wife Siobhan; grandchildren Ryan Schmidlin, Katie Greenwood, Nicole Hetherington and Conor Sarafin.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Catherine G Sarafin. A private graveside service will be held at Old Tennent Cemetery, on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow.
