Obituary of Eileen Priscilla Thorp

Eileen P. Thorp, 78, of Marlboro, passed away on November 17, 2014 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in New York City, she lived in Old Bridge before moving to Marlboro 25 years ago. She was communicant of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Marlboro. Eileen was a bookkeeper for the accounting firm of Richard Eisner in NYC. She loved her accounting work and attending the theater in NY but her greatest joy was her family. She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1994. Surviving are her step-son and his wife, Thomas and Liz Thorp of East Brunswick; two sisters, Nan Sherlock and Patricia Pramberger; and many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Marlboro. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
