With much sadness and disbelief and many tears ,I write this note. We have lost a sweet and beautiful Soul. A friend since kindergarten we shared many memories. A few were our sweet Birthday luncheons with all our friends. Walking home from school her house or mine. When we would walk to her house she would walk inside and say "Mom. I'm Home ! So sweet!
God give her beautiful family strength during all these years without her. I'm sure we will all remember her majestic smile and her innocent humor.
So my friend when you reach the Gates of Heaven remember to say "Mom, I 'm home,"she will be waiting for you . You will not be alone , cause you are so loved my friend.
With much love ,
AnnaMarie Pirrello Calabria

Linda and I grew up together on Grove Street in Montclair. She was such a kind, gentle girl and grew up to be a wonderful and loving wife, mother and friend. Those of us who knew her were blessed to have had her touch our lives. God bless her and my deepest sympathies to her family. Marguerite DeCarlo

There are no words to express our deepest condolences to your family at this time. Linda was a genuine and kind person. She will be missed by many. She was the brightness in a dark day. She warmed the hearts of everyone she had contact with. A great co-worker! Deepest sympathies.

Everything I’ve ever seen before. Everything I have believed, desired, loved...I will always do so with my Aunt Linda. Don’t cry for her because I know she is laughing, smiling, and thinking of all of us. I love you Aunt Linda and when I grow up I want to be just like you. Love, Andrea

“When Great Trees Fall
When great trees fall,
rocks on distant hills shudder,
lions hunker down
in tall grasses,
and even elephants
lumber after safety.
When great trees fall
in forests,
small things recoil into silence,
their senses
eroded beyond fear.
When great souls die,
the air around us becomes
light, rare, sterile.
We breathe, briefly.
Our eyes, briefly,
see with
a hurtful clarity.
Our memory, suddenly sharpened,
examines,
gnaws on kind words
unsaid,
promised walks
never taken.
Great souls die and
our reality, bound to
them, takes leave of us.
Our souls,
dependent upon their
nurture,
now shrink, wizened.
Our minds, formed
and informed by their
radiance,
fall away.
We are not so much maddened
as reduced to the unutterable ignorance
of dark, cold
caves.
And when great souls die,
after a period peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.
We can be. Be and be
better. For they existed.”

I was a coworker and friend of Linda. I prayed your family prayer and my own prayers for Linda. We all prayed for a miracle but God wanted her. She was such a wonderful person, always with a smile on her face. If I needed help with anything, she was always willing. I never heard her say a bad think about anyone. I know how hard this is for her whole family, who can’t imagine living in a world without her. She will always be with you in everything you do.
This world lost a wonderful person and she will be very missed by all who knew her. I pray for her family to get through this knowing how much she was Loved. I will always remember her with a smile on my face, because that is who she was.
