Obituary of Richard Corvasce

Richard Corvasce age 64 of Millstone Township, NJ passed away on January 5th, 2021  following a courageous battle with COVID-19.

Rich was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth (Campion) Corvasce and is survived by his father, Anthony Corvasce Sr.; his wife, April; his children, Michael Corvasce (Maura), Lauren Corvasce, Erica Vassallo (Kyle); his stepchildren, Eddie and Lauren Rosero; his brothers, Anthony Jr. (Becki), and Robert (Michelle); his grandchildren, Isabella & Brady Vassallo, and August & Gemma Corvasce; and many nieces and nephews.

Rich was born in Leicester, England in 1956. He grew up in Hazlet N.J, graduated from Trenton State College in 1978 with a B.S. in Accounting and earned his MBA from Monmouth College in 1985.

Rich took tremendous pride in being a career-long Wakefern (ShopRite) employee for nearly 42 years. He began by pushing shopping carts as a teenager,  and ascended to become the company’s Director of Finance.

Rich was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. His family was always foremost in his life. A passionate fan of the New York Yankees, he could be found several times per season behind home plate with his friends, playfully trying to hide snacks from the view of his wife who was watching him on TV. He was an excellent golfer and a wonderful cook. A handyman and carpenter, he loved to craft improvements to the house or yard, making the hardware store a regular Saturday destination. He had a fantastic sense of humor, always smiling and laughing. Rich will be deeply and perpetually missed by his family, friends and all who were privileged to know him.
