Obituary of Lois Borden

Lois Borden, 92 of Freehold, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.   She was born in Ardena, NJ and resided in Freehold most of her life.  Lois was a self-employed Title Searcher.  She was very artistic and loved scrapbooking and making homemade cards for her family and friends.  She also made beautiful stencil and theorem paintings.   Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Freehold and belonged to the Phoebe club.  She also enjoyed bingo at Surrey Downs. 

Lois was predeceased by her husband, Charles I. Borden; her son, Gary Hook and two brothers John and Henry Kip.   She is survived by her four children, William Hook; Carl Borden, Ruth Hanna; and Rayna Grinnen; her 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; Niece Luanne Kip; and her dog, Gizmo.

A visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am, Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00am.  Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery in Manalapan.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Freehold, 91 W Main St. Freehold, NJ   07728.  In keeping with the CDC Guidelines, masks and social distancing are required.  To find directions or leave a message of condolence, please visit our website at www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
