To Michael, Paula, and the Perillo and Graham families (especially to Eileen who was Dolores’s angel, so deeply devoted to her):
I send you all my sincerest condolences. I was very fond of Dolores and my late husband Mario loved her dearly, as did all of her cousins. I always looked forward to being in Dolores’s company as I was sure that there would invariably be a lot of laughter, a lot of warmth and a lot of close family feeling.
For years I would remind Dolores of how thrilled I was over the gorgeous gift she had given my daughter as a toddler then--- three beautiful spring dresses, soft floral prints, puff sleeves and lace trim! I never got tired of telling her how much I loved those dresses and I hope that she didn’t get tired of my repeating myself!
Probably my favorite memory of being with Dolores was at the Caserta family wedding in North Carolina where we had rented neighboring condos. While the men went on a golfing outing the morning of the wedding, Dolores and I had a wonderful “Girls’ Day Out” together--- hair salon, shopping, and lunch on the terrace of her condo. She had the ability to put you at ease right away and make you feel that she genuinely enjoyed your company.
I was always so amazed about Dolores’s success professionally and greatly admired her for it. She was truly a pioneer, a Wall Street dynamo at a time when so few women worked there in her field. While I didn’t know her when she began her career, I can only imagine the challenges she faced and bravely overcame.
Since we all know how much Dolores loved a good time, I am comforted visualizing a magnificent reunion in Paradise, with Dolores and her beloved husband Don, with my husband Mario, with her brother Mario, with her cousins and cousins-in-law, Olga, Emma, Sal, Ralph and Rhonda and all of her pre-deceased loved ones, and of course, Zia Asunta. They’ve been patiently anticipating her arrival and can’t wait for her to fall laughing into their embrace.
With all my love,
Elaine Romano

To my Aunt Dolores, you will always be remembered as a kind and generous soul. You were always the life of the party, always had great stories to share and always there for everyone. My college years at Neuberger & Berman are filled with great memories and so many laughs. All of the great Christmas Eve meals that went on for hours remind me of such happy times. You will be missed and never forgotten! - Rest in peace.

Dolores and Don were part of a group of friends that got together at my husband and my house in Freehold every Fourth of July for many many years for a pool party. We were a mixed ethnic group and everyone brought food because the day started with brunch and went way past dinner and we didn’t stop eating for a minute. There were seven little kids when we started...all boys. It was a standing joke that Dolores always started asking me...in January...what she should bring. What fun we had! Those were certainly the days, my friends. Rest In Peace, dear Dolores, now that you’re reunited with Don. We’ll all miss you so very much.

A Beautiful person inside and out who always saw the good in all. Will never forget how you spoiled Regina (only you were allowed to call her Reggie) I remember the year you and Donald gave her a Bear three times her size. The laughs we had at work. The day you walked in and found no one there, phones ringing off the wall (we were hiding in the smoke room.) You made work fun, we were family, there was nothing you wouldn't do for us. Dolores you were the best boss ever! You will surely be missed a legend in the Stock Loan World. May perpetual light shine upon you. Love and miss you Dorothy
