Cavanaugh Family, please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of Ralph.
The first I heard of Ralph was from my uncle Jerry. Jerry told me a story of how he hired Ralph some 40 or 50 years ago to take down a bees nest hanging in his front yard in Freehold. After Ralph finished putting on his protective gear, Jerry instructed him he was on his own, and under no circumstances could he expect rescue or an open door. Ralph just smiled and performed the task. Jerry has told me that story more than a dozen times through a belly laugh and fond facial expressions. I worked closely with Ralph two or three times a year since 2009 on his insurance and followed every meeting with breakfast at Perkins. We had breakfast at Perkins numerous other times because he thought I just wanted to get out of the office. I really just enjoyed his company. Ralph was very kind and genuine during those mornings. I recognized Ralph to be a tough guy like my dad on the outside. He was very charismatic, smart, and proud. He spoke of his grandchildren with such pride. At the end of every breakfast, we would both look at each other and decide who's turn it was to pay. One of us would pay and the other leaves the tip. I think he enjoyed the time we spent together, I surely let him know that I could see through his exterior. His gruff was his charm to me. Like my dad, he will be missed. They don't make 'em like that anymore!
RIP Ralph,
Joel MacLean

I worked for Ralph several years ago and always remember him driving in in his Corvette, setting his keys on the file cabinet, grab his coffee, go outside and see his technicians off on their day, then come in and stand by that file cabinet and oversee what was going on in the office. When I first began working there, when I heard his keys hit the file cabinet, I was intimidated, but after time, it began to be a comfort for me. When he wasn't in the office, he was missed. He really was a nice man! My deepest condolences to his wife Barbara, his sons, and their families.

To the family of Ralph Cavanaugh, I'm sorry for your loss. My father was Ralph's cousin and they kept in touch in the 1990s. The first job I got after college was with Cavanaugh Pest Control. It was fun job. I remember Mr. Cavanaugh's Corvette in the parking lot way back then. The man had style.
My condolences to the Cavanaugh family.

I’ve worked for Ralph, for the past 38 years and known for many more. He was a man of few words with a big heart, I thought of him as family more then a boss!!!! He will be greatly missed, my deepest condolences to Barbara, Tim and the rest of the family!
