Obituary of Kathryn Hey

Kathryn "Kay" Reis Hey, 97, of Freehold, passed away on November 3, 2014, at home at Applewood Estates, Freehold. Born in Astoria, NY, she lived in Fort Lee, Whippany and Freehold. A graduate of Fort Lee High School, she worked in the cashier department of McCrory Stores, then in NYC. She was a member of the American Cancer Society in Whippany and a member of the Freehold Presbyterian Church and active in most of the church women's organizations. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Herman in 2001. She is survived by Barbara K. Zierold, several nieces and nephews, and her great nieces and great nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, Nov. 7th, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 p.m., at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold.
