Obituary of Philip Lee Lum
Philip Lee Lum, 66, of Princeton Junction, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Texas Health Hospital. Philip was born in Brooklyn, New York and resided in Princeton Junction for 30 years. Philip was employed as a Business Administrator in the Insurance Industry before retiring to become a wonderful stay at home Dad.
Phil was a man of few words whose actions always spoke louder than words. The kind of guy who was endlessly kind and expected the same from everyone in return. An avid rule follower who liked everything just so. A natural problem solver and fixer of all things. A true kid at heart. He embodied the truest meaning of a family man – the best husband, father and grandfather that the world will ever know.
Philip is survived by his wife Dawn; daughter Kimberly and her husband James and son Jack; daughter Larissa; mother Lillian, brother Edward and sister Laura.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, September 5th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will start at 11:30 AM. The service will take place exclusively outside. We will be using a designated area outside that is adjacent to the parking lot. A tent will be set up and everyone will be required to wear a mask while social distancing. If you prefer to join the services virtually (via zoom), please contact Dawn Lee Lum (dgsleelum@gmail.com) for details on how to join. Interment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery in Morganville, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation (Phil’s Mother has Parkinson’s Disease). To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com
