Obituary of Ida E. Piccolo

Please share a memory of Ida to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ida E Piccolo, 90, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on 7/22/2020 in Morganville, NJ.

Ida was funny, strong willed, good hearted and truly one of a kind. She enjoyed being with her family, playing cards with her friends, knitting hats & blankets for charities and having a good cup of coffee with her sisters. Ida loved with a huge heart and was equally loved by many. She was also a proud parishioner of St Catherine’s in Farmingdale, NJ

Ida was residing at the Chelsea at the Solana for the last 4.5 years. She was treated with dignity, respect and was considered a part of the family. Many friends were made there and she truly felt loved by everyone. You could always get a joke or wisecrack out of her and she always made everyone laugh. Our family would like to thank the wonderful Solana staff and hospice staff whom took care of Ida, especially Donna & Ancy. They are true angels of mercy!

Ida is survived by her daughter Donna Ranieri; son Nick Piccolo II and wife Janet; sister Mary Castellano; grandchildren Nicholas Ranieri and his fiancé Dawn; Anthony Ranieri & his wife Sarah; Donna Jo Ranieri; Michael Piccolo & his wife Cristina; great grandchildren Nick & Noah

Ida was predeceased by her husband Nick Piccolo, grandson Nicholas Piccolo III, brothers Joseph & Aldo and sisters Josephine & Anna.

Funeral service will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on July 25th, 2020 from 10 AM until Noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the LLS are warmly welcomed.
