Obituary of Louis V Langlais Jr.
Louis V. Langlais Jr., 70, of Manalapan, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Robert Wood Johnson Univ Hospital. Louis was born in Sherbrook, Canada and resided in Manalapan for 34 years. Louis was employed as a General Sales Manager before retiring.
Louis was predeceased by his parents Louis Sr. and Lea. He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Durocher); daughter Jennifer and her husband Richard Modula; son Andre and his wife Jessica (Wikoff); sister Rose Marie and her husband Jim Manico, grandchildren Ryan Modula, Madalyn Langlais and Jayson Modula, nephew Christopher Manico and niece Nicole Manico, and several cousins.
Lou was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Manalapan and the Yorktown Social Club in Manalapan. He was a volunteer for many years as the Chairman of the Heritage Committee for Manalapan Day. He also coached soccer with the Manalapan Soccer Club and the Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club. He also coached Baseball with the Manalapan Baseball Association, and several travel teams.
His biggest pride and joy was sharing his love of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants with his grandchildren. In the summer he loved watching his 3 beloved grandchildren swim in his pool. He always made sure that every conversation with them ended with a lesson.
Lou was loved by everyone that met him. He left a mark everywhere he went.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan - Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
