Obituary of Robert G Green Sr.
Robert G. Green Sr., 87, of Manalapan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Robert was born and raised in New Brunswick, New Jersey and moved to Manalapan in 1961 where he resided for almost 60 years raising his family. Robert was employed as an assembly line worker for IBM for over 25 years and a Door Greeter at Sam’s Club for 22 years. He was a passionate man who loved all sports and the American Flag. He was a social member of Jamesburg Fire Department and member of the Moose Lodge in South River. He enjoyed spending days sitting in different parks, driving around, or going to the Blue Claw’s games. Most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his faithful dog Cody that he and his wife loved dearly.
Robert is predeceased by his wife Catherine T. Green, Father Louis Green, Mother Mary Green, Brothers Lewis (Pat) Green and Charles Green, and Sister Marylou Scala. He is survived by his son Robert Green Jr. and his wife Doris of Pemberton; daughter Karen Gilboy and her husband John of Manalapan; Grandchildren Justin and Hailey Gilboy of Manalapan, and Christina Green of Virginia.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Funeral service to immediately follow at Freeman Manalapan - Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.
