We met Fred through girls youth soccer. We instantly connected with Fred due to his genuine and sincere personality. We became immediate friends and it was obvious we shared many similar interests. As the years went on, we spent allot of time at sporting events and enjoying many of life’s milestones. I coached Ciara in travel basketball and Fred was there taking all the pictures. We created a great circle of friends, raising our families and having a little fun along the way. He will always be a great friend that will be truly missed.
Our deepest condolences to Jen, Dan, Ciara, Olivia and the entire DeAlmeida family.
Love Lou, Donna, Sabrina, Amanda and Anthony Mezzina ❤️

We are so very sad at the loss of Fred. He was a kind man with a warm soul. A dear friend to us all and an outstanding coach and mentor. He was a wonderful baseball coach who instilled core values into our children on and off the field. He brought together many “Circles of Friends” that will have lifetime friendships as a result. Many of the kids he started coaching in Little League and throughout the years have remained close friends into their college years. We attribute a lot of that to Fred and the way he mentored our boys.
Rest in peace, we love you Fred.

Freddy meant the world to my family and I. He treated my youngest daughter,Victoria, like one of his own. My daughter and his daughter, Ciara, have been best friends since pre-school at St. Thomas More, and over the years we have created so many memories with them. From family vacations in Punta Cana, to sports games and family barbecues, we always had such a great time with them. One special memory was when the Thunder soccer team went to Hershey and Freddy, my husband and I cooked for the whole team and their families. Freddy was such an amazing cook and I always loved his delicious Portuguese dishes. The DeAlmeida's house was always the "play date" house and as the kids grew up, it continued to be the house that everyone wanted to hang out in. The DeAlmeida's have always been so special to me and my family, and Freddy will be missed dearly. He will live on in me and my family's hearts FOREVER. The DeAlmeida Family is one of the best families we know. Jen, Daniel, Ciara & Olivia we are here for you and love you more than you know. So sorry for your loss! Rest in Peace Freddy Fred. The Romano's love you forever.

I am eternally grateful to Freddie and Jen for bringing a great group of people together. Freddy was a coach and role model for so many of our boys. He is forever in the hearts of those boys and the circle of friends that will miss him terribly.

I only had a short time to spend with a person who became a great friend. The first time I met Freddie and Jen was in phase one oncology at Morristown Hospital. Some how we both brought up our love for the game of Golf. I was lucky enough to be able to play some rounds with him. The first time was at a course near his house. I got lost and was running late. We just made our tee time and were paired with man in his 80's who was much better than the two of us but the fun of being there was great. After a while the guy who was playing with us asked how we met. Freddie leaned over and said should we tell him? We both laughed and told him we had cancer and met at Chemo. What a great day for both of us to be on the course and be able to talk about what we were going through. Freddie was a great guy and became a great friend. We both loved golf and stayed strong even with this awful disease.
Freddie your at rest in Heaven and an Angel looking down on your family.
God Bless Jen and the Kids. Bob Wood

Im so blessed to have the De Almeida's in my life. I was fortunate to grow up around the corner from them and was constantly at their house. From then, to now, The De Almeida's have always treated me like one of their own. They are not a family that I need to see every day, but I know if I called them up they would drop anything to help. Fred was one of the most kind hearted people I knew and was loved by SO many. He will always be remembered and everyones memories of him will be cherished forever. Sending all the love to Jen, Ciara, Dan, and Olivia. I love you guys.

Our family was blessed to have meet the DeAlmeida’s 15 years ago when Dan and our son Connor became close friends in Kindergarten. Throughout these year we have continued to celebrate milestones in each other’s lives. Fred and I shared a passion for taking pictures. The day he showed up with his brand new professional camera I knew it was time to let the master take over. Fred had the ability to capture ever emotion and moment perfectly. When Connor was a freshman on the Manalapan Braves football team, Fred was at the game taking pictures of him, mind you Dan was not on the team, but Fred made sure he took pictures of every kid he knew on the team. At the end of the season Fred made a huge poster of Connor’s action shots and gave it to him. This is who Fred was!!! He thought of every one and made sure we saw our kids accomplishments threw his lens. Thank you Fred for your unconditional love for all of us! We will miss you greatly and please know we will be here for Jen, Dan, Ciara and Liv! ❤️
Love,
Michael, Dawn, Taylor and Connor Trapani
