Ralph Bonanno, 79, of Marlboro, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020, at CareOne At Holmdel. Ralph was born in Brooklyn, New York and resided in Marlboro for 17 years. Ralph worked for NYC Transit Authority for over 20 years and worked his way up to President of the Subway Surface Supervisors Association (labor union), where he served 2 terms until he retired in 1999. 
 
He also started his own electrical service company as a second job, which was taken over by his son and is still in operation today. In his retirement, Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, babysitting his grandchildren, working on home improvement projects, and traveling to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. He also had a love for model trains and was proud of his Lionel collection, which he shared with his grandsons.
  
Ralph is survived by his wife Margie; daughter Lisa and husband Tom; son Michael and wife Kelly; daughter Barbara and husband Kenneth; granddaughters Maria, Taylor and Emma; and grandsons Christopher and Morgan.
