Eugene G. Blumenthal, 71, of Marlboro, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Paterson, he resided in Rockaway, West Orange, Long Beach Island and wintered in Marco Island before moving to Marlboro 4 years ago. He was the founder and president of Metro-Chem, Inc. in Kearny, NJ, which he started in 1980.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth; his son, David Blumenthal of Bridgewater; his daughter, Helaine Blumenthal of Cresskill; his mother, Beatrice Blumenthal of Westwood; his brother, Allen Blumenthal of River Vale; and four grandchildren, Sam and Jillian Mushman and Breanna and Lexi Pappas.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, August 1st, from 7 to 9 PM, and Thursday, August 2nd, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.
