OBITUARY FOR PAUL FRANCIS SERRA

Paul Francis Serra, 62, of Whiting, passed away December 27, 2019.  He was born in Brooklyn, New York and worked as a sales manager for Maersk.  He is predeceased by his mother, Margaret and is survived by his father, Frank; his wife, Deborah; his daughter, Jacqueline; his son, Paul; his sister, Kathy Gorman.

Paul was a graduate of Grady High School with a major in electric. He worked in sales at Farrell Lines, Safmarine and Maersk. Paul loved all of his friends and family. He shared a passion for sports and cooking. Lifelong fan of the Jets, Mets and Rangers. Nicknamed “Yogi” Serra. Paul was an exceptional athlete, competing in baseball, softball, ice and roller hockey. He shared his passion for sports by actively being involved in coaching his children’s teams.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 2nd from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, January 3rd at 11:30 am at St. Rose of Lima R.C.
