Obituary of Florence Gross
Florence Gross, 89, passed away at home on Thursday, November 28, 2019.
She was the warm sun in the center of a large constellation of family, friends, and all of those lucky enough to know her.
Born in the Bronx, NY, she resided in Brooklyn until moving to Freehold Borough, where she made many friends, nearly eight years ago. Florence was an avid and prolific reader and a passionate cruciverbalist. She worked as a bookkeeper and a clerk but most enjoyed her time as a teaching assistant with the Lillian Sklar Day Care Center in Brooklyn, from which she retired.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother Florence was predeceased by her adored son, Kenneth Gross, and beloved partner Jacob Khederian. She is survived by son and daughter in law Michael and Doris; daughter in law, Alison; son and daughter in law Kevin and Marsha; cherished grandchildren Raquel, Dawn, Erik, LoraLee, Steven, Michele, David, Danielle, Elissa, Daniel and Amanda; and her seven great grandchildren, who fondly called her "GiGi."
A service will be held 11:00 am Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at Mount Sinai Mausoleum, 374 Route 79, Marlboro, NJ; immediately followed by interment at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Shriner's Hospitals for Children or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
