Jamie, Suzanne, Christine & family, My heart is very heavy when I think of you all. Irene and I were teammates for sixteen years. We bonded over raising “our girls.” We laughed hard, cheered for each other when reaching major milestones, and lifted one another up when life threw us curve balls. I will always remember our Easter peeptinis. As our families grew, demands for our time made it difficult to see each other, but Irene and I never had to talk about this to each other because we always knew what we had. When we were together our conversations picked up as if time stood still. Irene not only loved her family fiercely but her friends as well. Jack, Alyssa, Karen and I will keep Irene’s spirit alive in our many wonderful memories together. We send our prayers up to give you strength in the days ahead. Pam, Jack and Family

To Christine and the rest of the Policastro family, I extend my condolences. Irene worked with my Aunt Pam Szabo for many years and I had the pleasure of working with Christine at Manalapan Recreation many summers ago. My mother passed on this information to me and I was very surprised to hear. I know that you have wonderful memories of her. So sorry.
