Obituary of John LoMonaco

John Lo Monaco, 88, of Freehold, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 with his family at home in Freehold. Born in New York City, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Freehold 18 years ago. John was a proud World War II Navy veteran. He was a labor representative for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union in Manhattan for many years before retiring and was a member and former president of the Italian-American Labor Center of NY. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Michael Boulos and Carolyn and Joseph Fierro; and six grandchildren, John, Taylor and Michael Bolos and Dominique, Lindsey and Camryn Fierro. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, Sept. 1st, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.
